oh, hey there
Yeah, sorry about that. I totally left everyone hanging. If you're still around, um, the trial went interestingly enough. I got a criminal case. From what I hear those are more "fun" than civil trials. I guess it has something to do with the awesome responsibility placed in the hands of several random people who must decide a person's fate. For my trial, jail time was on the line. I can't even imagine what the deliberations might have been like had the death penalty been a possibility. And as for the outcome, we let the defendant go due to lack of evidence. I must say, if one has the chance to perform jury duty without too much of a hit to their time or income, it is definitely a worthwhile endeavor. Not only can you feel good about doing your civic duty, but you get a cool pin!

Otherwise I’ve been busy working, contemplating buying a motorcycle and/or a BMW Z4M Coupe. Oh, and maybe considering picking up a contracting gig in Iraq to earn money for school… We’ll see how that goes.

So I did get picked to serve on a jury. The trial is today. It's a criminal one. Let's see how it goes.
