It seems only natural. I have a motorcycle now and I still relish philosophical discussion.

If this is the path our world is headed, I guess I should refresh my understanding.

but I’ve been busy
Crap, only two entries this month!? Fricken… I want my money back! Wait, this is my place… Okay, okay yes the blog has been mighty sparse lately. Well, tough. I’ve got stuff to do and can’t be sitting around all day jotting down amusing anecdotes and life observations for your pleasure. Plus, if you’re coming here for that stuff, then somebody really lied to you.

Or could it be that amongst the busy schedule of mind numbingly inane corporate client work, more work and even more work I somehow managed to get myself a trip across the pond? That’s right kiddies, yours truly is heading over to the land of… European… stuffs for some R and R. Two weeks doing it up European style! Me and a friend are going to be kicking it in London for four days, chunneling over to Paris a few days (er staying in Paris for a few days, not that the trip to get there will take a few days) then catching another train up to Amsterdam to put the exclamation on the trip. Oh, it’s going to be so tight! Off the hizzy for shizzy!

Of course this trip almost didn’t happen because a certain Canadian almost didn’t get his passport business taken care of. Not the best way to start a trip when a passport from Ottawa is being delivered two hours before leaving for the trip. Just to note for all of you thinking of traveling out of the country, have your passport in hand before you book your trip. In fact, if you haven’t already, get your passport in order now. You know, just in case.

Anyway, I got a new digital camera for this trip! Check it, the Fuji Finepix Z1. It’s nearly the size of a credit card except .7in thick. It rocks and it’s superfast too. And the freaking storage! 1 gig of storage on a disk literally the size of a postage stamp. I got two, so I should be bringing back many, many pics! I think I’ll be taking along a journal as well to capture all my impressions, keep track of sites seen and to note those random thoughts that come up when traveling abroad. I’m sure I’ll repost them here for your perusal.

Did I mention that I’m stoked? London baby! So since I’ll be out of the country, there may not be an entry for the next week or two (what else is new... har har, shush you). But if I run across an Internet café, maybe I’ll drop in to gloat.

Oh and Sam, congrats on the first year of your Masters! I’m proud of you man!

we can rebuild it
K8N Neo2 Platinum MB
AMD Athlon 64 3000+ (Winchester Core)
Leadtek WinFast A6600 GT TDH
0.5 Terrabits of storage
1GB Corsair Cas2 PC3200 DDR Ram
Windows XP Pro

It has been rebuilt and outperforms a 3.2 GHz Pentium 4 Extreme Edition PC all for 1/3 of what I spent when i first built the machine. And I took the lower-end route. This will be the network server machine when I start with the home network, gigabit stylee.

Come December I think I may build another moster machine with these in a dual monitor setup. Or maybe grab a Thinkpad and go wireless.
